    Specialties

    Chiropractic Care

We use chiropractic care to reset your neurology—like a reboot of your software—to allow for optimal motion. With chiropractic adjustment of the spine and joints, we find areas of limitation and put motion back into those areas. This allows the body to move freely in all directions.  This treatment helps people with headaches, low back pain, joint pain and even women experiencing pre-natal pain and discomfort.

    Rehabilitation

We use simple corrective exercises to reinforce a movement pattern that will prevent future injuries. Rehabilitation of motion is training the brain to move better. This is laying the foundation for movement literacy.  This is great for people who have shoulder pain, elbow pain, hip pain, knee pain, or other sports injuries.  This movement foundation allows you to do the activities you love, like running, playing golf, or just being able to play with your children.

    Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization

We utilize Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) as the basis for all our treatment. This quick, effective therapy activates small muscles throughout the body to help you move pain free. DNS is an innovative approach that is proven effective for chronic pain areas!

    Active Release Technique

Active release therapy is a soft tissue therapy that greatly increases your range of motion along with releasing neural and muscular adhesions.  This treatment is similar to massage work but is more specific for certain ailments such as low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, neck pain and golfer’s elbow.

    Fascial Distortion Model

This is a technique utilized for manipulating the fascia in your system to get incredible results.  The fascial distortion model is also similar to massage and is great for knee pain and chronic headaches.

    Dry Needling

Dry needle therapy is specific triggerband work utilizing acupuncture-like needles. This type of modality is great for chronic deep seeded muscle pains that never seem to go away.  We utilize dry needling for chronic headaches, shoulder pain and low back pain.

    Dr. Emily Lo DC, MS

Dr. Emily (Schum) Lo grew up in Southern Indiana where her passion for alternative health care started. While attending the University of Southern Indiana, Dr. Lo sustained an injury as a member of the tennis team that resulted in a severe case of sciatica. Her only relief came when she saw the team chiropractor. These treatments were the reason Dr. Lo went into the chiropractic profession. After graduating undergrad in 2009 with a B.S. in Human Biology, Dr. Lo enrolled in Logan College of Chiropractic. She graduated in 2013 earning a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Master’s of Sports Science and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Lo is passionate about helping others live a healthy lifestyle through clean eating and natural healing. As a nutritionist and health and wellness coach, she utilizes a technique called Nutrition Response Testing, which is a non-invasive assessment that uncovers stressors on the nervous system. The treatment for the stressors is a natural whole food supplementation program that heals the body naturally. She completed her Advanced Clinical Training for Nutrition Response Testing in 2016.
